Interview

Give us a brief background about yourself. Hey! My name is Ela Pasion and I'm really glad to be featured as one of Nutekspeed's model of the month. I'm 21 years young, and I was born in the Philippines. I moved to the U.S. at a young age, and was raised in a very loving, but strict family. Growing up, I was involved in acting, dance, choir, theater, painting, and singing. I was in the limelight quite a lot. That why I love my job! I am outgoing; I love meeting new people. I'm always up for a challenge. I've been modeling for a little bit more than a year now, and I'm grateful for all the opportunities I've worked for.

How did you get started in modeling? I started modeling when I joined the Hot Kush Girl contest at the Kush Expo. It was my very first gig as a model, so I was quite shy. I decided to be brave and put myself out there... and I won first place! That is still one of the most surreal moments of my life. I knew I wanted to get into modeling after that.

What has been your biggest accomplishment as a model? I would say my biggest accomplishment so far is my first ever cover-publication of a magazine. I was Import Tuner's January Featured cover model.

In your opinion, what sets you apart from other models? I have a unique body type, but most of all my will to succeed. I'm very work-minded and I take my job very seriously. It's how I pay my bills.

Are you looking to expand into other fields besides modeling? I am currently in beauty school! So hopefully I can own my very own salon someday. :)

What is your opinion on models posing for Playboy? Would you consider posing? I would love to pose for playboy. I don't shoot nudes for the very reason of "I'm saving myself for Playboy!" PLAYBOY please hire me! lol.

Have you had any funny experiences during a shoot? Tell us one. One time, a photographer and I were planning to shoot at a private beach. This beach is along the edge of a cliff and so the shore is really windy. As we turned a corner, there was a couple going at it... HARD! We laughed and decided to shoot elsewhere.

Are you currently single or taken? I do have a boyfriend, we've been together for a year and a half.

What characteristics or traits do you look for in a guy? I like guys with streets smart, who are supportive of me no matter what, and who can make me laugh.

What would you say is your guilty pleasure? I love chocolate! I am on a strict diet so when I do give myself a break to have some, I'm in heaven!

What websites would you say you spend most of your time on? Facebook and Pinterest!

What are your biggest pet peeves? Getting asked to work for free. Doesn't include trade work...because trade shoots have equal benefits.

What is something people would be surprised to know about you? My tongue is pierced ;) lol.

Aside from being our Featured Model, what can we expect from you in the upcoming 2012 year? A lot! I will be at plenty more shows and a few publications lined up already.

What would you like to say to your supporters and future fans? There are no words to describe how amazing it is to have the support of my fans, my friends, and my family. I LOVE YOU ALL.
